Gillia is a highly competent professional with over 32 years experience of in diversified management consulting and industry and “hands-on” experience with an emphasis on issues affecting strategic positioning; strategy articulation; broad/team-based compensation; reward and recognition; and organizational research, analysis, recruitment & selection, induction & orientation, training & development, labour laws, compensation management, performance management, career management, manpower planning, strategic planning specifically with companies within the Financial, Energy and Manufacturing sectors.
She led the human capital team at Ernst & Young Caribbean in Trinidad and Tobago. She assisted the Partner with image enhancement and creating the level of awareness of the unit within a three-year period. She was able to significantly increase the revenue of the unit by co-developing business solutions for Companies throughout the Caribbean region by advising on the following services: Strategic Management; Executive Recruitment; Performance Management Systems; Labour Laws; HR Policies and Manuals, Executive Management, and General training; Compensation & Benefits Advice; Human Resource Strategy & planning; outsourcing and Job Evaluation. She was able to introduce a new product offering by forming an alliance with the Society of Human Resource Management to deliver SPHR and PHR certifications to Caribbean practitioners. She has worked with RBC RBTT; the University of Trinidad and Tobago, Ernst & Young Caribbean; Ansa McAl, and has several Clients within the Financial, Energy, and Manufacturing sectors.
